An Optimistic Year for Colorado Gaming

On January 20th, 2009, the state of the Colorado and their casino facilities are in the middle of what could be a groundbreaking casino movement for Colorado's tourism industry. Central City became the latest Colorado area to vote in favor of expanding casino operating hours and the existing betting limits. But Central City did not stop there either.

The games of roulette and craps will be coming to casino facilities as well. The residents of Central City overwhelmingly voted in favor for the propose casino changes, which will go into effect after July 1st, 2009. About ninety-three percent of the voters who voted did so in favor of following the decision of some other areas in the state of Colorado. The towns of Cripple Creek and Black Hawk voters have already approved to raising the wagering limits to $5 to $100. The state of Colorado already possesses the beauty of its nature and a growing skiing industry.

The addition of the Las Vegas style casino games and expanded betting limits could make Colorado more attractive to tourists. The expanded gaming hours for Colorado's casinos will help the casinos maintain customers and attract new ones. State players will no longer have to leave Colorado to play in other states and with the improve limits, casino facilities can now more aggressively attract high-rollers. The casino expansion started back in the November 2008 election in Colorado and has since grown with each passing month. In the town of Central City, around two hundred people voted in favor for the casino proposal as opposed to sixteen people that voted against the casino proposal.
