The Any Dozen Roulette bet is an outide bet on the roulette table that pays two to one odds. It's designated on the online roulette table, in the area labeled 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12, or 1st Dozen, 2nd Dozen or 3rd Dozen.
These numbers correspond to the numbers sequencially from 1 to 12, 13 to 24, or 25 to 36.
It is sometimes confused for the "Any Column" roulette bets which are also 12 numbers, and also paying 2 to 1. The Any Dozen roulette bet is on the side of the table facing the players, wheras the Any Column roulette bet is on the the end of the table, furthest from the roulette wheel. Note that you may not split two boxes of these roulette bets, but you can make two seperate wagers on two of the three boxes.
A split bet on the 2nd and 3rd Dozen is an accepted way to bet on a split of the 0 and 00. Since it is not legal to actually split these boxes, croupiers know this is a bet for people on the far end of the table who cannot reach the green numbers.
