Jason H. Wins 1.4 Million Pounds in Roulette from William Hill
On May 30th, 2008, a businessman from Sussex is celebrating after getting a check worth 1.4 million pounds for his win on a gaming site. The very lucky player, who only wishes to be known by the name Jason H, won the money after his lucky number twenty-three appeared while he was playing online roulette.
Bookmaker William Hill has awarded the forty year-old worth 1,426,000 pounds, the third record breaking prize that they have given out totaling more than one million pounds for the past five months. William Hill spokesperson David Hood commented that they must be the world's luckiest wagering company for gamblers.
For Mr. Jason H, it was not a case of third time's a charm, but 23rd time being lucky as the number twenty-three came out several times. He added that the customers, since he was experiencing a good game, kept on increasing his wager with the use of his winnings until he reached 1.4 million pounds.
David Hood said that since Christmas last year, they already have given three checks worth more than one million pounds to three lucky customers. Jason H's won comes weeks after Fred Craggs from Yorkshire won one million pounds after putting down a fifty pounds wager and an online casino player, known as Mr. X, won one million pounds on a slots game in December 2007.
