The Rapid Roulette of Harrah's Entertainment

On June 15th, 2008, Rapid Roulette, a brand new version of the classic casino roulette game was launched at four Harrah's Entertainment casino facilities in Atlantic City. The rules that are used in the game are similar to the game of roulette that is played in most casino facilities but are different because of the computerized wagering system which improved the game pace of roulette.

Paul Natello, the director of casino table games operations for Caesars, Paul Natello commented that Rapid Roulette has been available in Las Vegas for almost 4 years now. Natello said that most of their customers feel that they are just playing with the use of their computer. Rapid roulette uses two roulette croupiers, the same number of dealers to handles two roulette tables that has six players.

The game has a faster pace because the dealers do not have to personally clear the chips from the losing players and give the winning wagers to the players because this task will be done by the computer. Another good advantage of Rapid Roulette is that players do not have to personally get the chips themselves. The dealers and supervisors will also have an easier time because the computer will be the one to record the wagers of the players.

The faster pace of the game will also benefit casino facilities because the game has a spin under a minute compared with the regular roulette game. The casino wins around 5.26% of all the wagers placed on the digits and 2.63% on all even cash wagers. One rapid roulette croupier spins the wheel, while the other croupier will help players to work their computers and give players their winnings. Rapid roulette players can also reward dealers by touching an area on the screen or give them cash or chip by the end of that particular season.
